Better Ways To Make And Keep Your Goals

Keep Your Goals
Written by Don Adriano

Have you found that you have been having trouble making goals and then actually keeping up with those goals once they are set? If so, then this is something that you really want to make sure that you are working on. Otherwise, instead of progressing in life, you might just find that you are treading water. This means that you are not going to make it very far.

Write The Goals Down

It is vital that you are taking the time to write down all of your goals. However, you will want to create two very specific lists. One list should be for all of your short-term goals, while the other list is for your long-term goals. Not only do you want to just write your goals down, but you are also going to want to make sure that you are reading your goals each and every day. This way, your goals will be engrained in who you are as a person. By going over your goals every day, you will find that it will be a lot harder to lose track of what you need to be doing in life.

Give Yourself Rewards

You will want to make sure that you are setting up little rewards for yourself that you will be able to look forward to. For example, if you finally get to the point where you have lost the first little bit of weight that you wanted to lose, you might want to reward yourself with some new clothes. If you had a goal of getting a promotion at work and you have finally done it, you can reward yourself with a fancy dinner out on the town with your closest of families.

As you can see, setting and keeping goals for yourself is all about being prepared and taking action. So really, whether or not you make it to your goals is going to be completely up to you. You are in control of your destiny so you will want to get started on improving your future before time simply passes by and you have missed out.
